Day Twenty-One: 12-07-2009

It was a day of relax, do, eat, relax, do, eat, relax, do eat. I re-organized a small section of the kitchen in order to get rid of a table that was located there. Re-filled the wood thing. Cooked lunch/supper.

It came in a box (still trying to get rid of all the boxed foods, canned foods, etc.)

It turned out looking like this:

I added chicken, and tomatoes. . .

The sauce looks weird, but there it is:

It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't delicious either - I probably wouldn't recommend purchasing that box.

I went through all those blue boxes again throwing away things I didn't need/want and packing in things I do need/want. Anywho, that's the closet!

Day Twenty: 12-06-2009

Dad dropped me off after watching some television, and once home Jeanne and Laura invited me to go to the flea market at the Fair Grounds - I couldn't pass up this opportunity. With all the money I have to my name (ten dollars) I got some amazing stuff, and Jeanne bought me the biggest and best item I got as well.

First things first! I looked all over that darn flea market for skeleton keys, and not until I had two dollars left in my pocket, did I find an entire case full of them. They were a bit too expensive for my blood, but he did mark that one down to $2.00 - and the key chain I bought for a dollar.

This one, I was given years ago - either from Aunt Brenda and Jeanne or from my Grandmother. . . I can't remember which. It comes with a case that says, "Bell & Howell" on it.

This one I purchased for two dollars, and it is a Brownie Movie Camera (8MM), which has some information on it such as: Kodachrome Film, Daylight Type, with a gauge that has all kinds of different sun cycles on it (clear sun, hazy sun, cloudy, bright, open shade, etc) and a light subject and dark subject option. I think it's this one: http://www.tias.com/13486/PictPage/3923232042.html

This one is also Bell & Howell with an electronic eye and it is 10MM. (Found on the lens: 10 MM f/2.3 super comat.) (Found on the thing inside the lens: Series IV Kodak Daylight Filter for type F film)

This one is my favorite, and the one Jeanne bought me that the guy gave us for half price - because we were a moment too late for this large case of awesome cameras with zoom attachments (some worth over $200 a piece), and all of the cameras were Cannon.

"Picturol Projector, Model E.A.G., NO. 16762, for Visual Education Chicago, The Magnavox Company, Fort Wayne, IND."

I can't wait to see what it'll take to get them working. One man suggested I go to the local video store and get Lumiera (sp) a movie that has small clips from all kinds of different movie cameras, teaching you all about them and the different styles of shoots and the like you can do. He's also the man that sold me the two, $2 ones, and said all they need are new springs!

Day Nineteen: 12-05-2009

This Saturday morning my father called around seven-thirty in the morning and came to pick me up around eight in the morning. We went to his house, watched the old boob tube and chilled until around noon. We headed to O'Malley's for a few hours, I ordered a Red Royal and some water. Then to Radical Cycle Co for awhile, I ordered a Vegas Bomb and some water. Then to the Bavarian Inn, where I ordered a Black Cherry Vodka and the bartender let me try Xrated (both the shot and the drink form). We headed back home after ordering some spring rolls and ended the night watching some television while eating some rib meat that had cooked in a crock pot with carrots, potatoes, and this awesome seasoning mix.

I had a great time with my father, and look forward to us being able to talk and chill again.

Day Eighteen: 12-04-2009

I woke up quite late today. I've been having very vivid dreams, and when I wake up I feel as if I've run a marathon - I'm all out of sorts and confused generally. I spoke with several people today, including Javi - all of the conversations went decently. I didn't do much today, but I did utilize one of the wonderful things Aunt Brenda and Jess gave to me.

It's a beautiful box, and I have giant plans for getting more of them when I'm capable of doing so. (The other two they gave me will be filled within the next week, and I'll post more on that at a later date.)

This clear container was stocked full of photos and negatives that needed to be sorted and organized, which I have done so in the beautiful box they gave me:

Now the majority of my photos (that are not already on the computer) are in a box and organized until I am able to scan them into a computer and rid myself of them. (I plan on buying an external hard drive to back up my computer as it needs reformatting badly.)

P.S. - Awhile after posting this blog, I moved the huge four poster bed from the room I'm staying in, into the room on the floor below with the help of Jeanne and Laura. I then, again with loads of help, brought up a futon in it's place. I now have triple the amount of room in here!

Day Seventeen: 12-03-2009

I woke up and ate a taco, and drank a grape soda - the breakfast of champions, or so Jeanne told me.

I finished a project Jeanne had asked for some help on. It was creating an Iowa Gingerbread Man for her grandchild's school to display. I put all our major outputs like hogs, cattle, corn, soybeans, eggs, dairy, etc, and also the Eastern Goldfinch, and Wild Rose - Jeanne had to draw the bird and the pig as I just couldn't do it, it ended up looking pretty cool. . . if I do say so myself, and I do!

I filled the wood back up for the fireplace and then headed off to take a shower and get ready.

Aunt Brenda and Jess picked me up and we went to their house where Aunt Brenda made the best Chicken Taco Enchilada things I've ever had. . . they were delicious. We hung out, and they gave me some items that I'm extremely excited about - you'll see a post about those later on, and more clothes that fit and are perfect.

After they dropped me off I got to talk to Javi for a little bit and then Cory and Justin picked me up and we went to Zach's and Jenna's to play video games until three in the morning.
